Description | The WESO report highlights that over 1.4 billion workers globally are in vulnerable jobs, with numbers rising due to COVID-19. Efforts like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to address these issues, but their implementation varies across regions. Developing countries struggle to systematically address informal employment due to limited frameworks outside the EU and a lack of policy reviews. The LABOUR program aims to close these gaps, focusing on Asia, where informal employment is high, by proposing solutions for decision-makers through a collaborative research effort. |
