It took me a lot of time and effort to become a student at the University of Marie Curie Sklodowska (Lublin).
In Lublin I attended courses mainly from the Department of Cultural studies.
It was a challenged and unusual experience but full of joy, happiness and good moments.
During my academic mobility in one of the most attractive and calm cities of Poland, I was studying online as did all students all over the world. It was the strangest period of my student life-sitting in front of a screen, typing, attending zoom-classes, preparing individual works, projects and etc.
Nevertheless, I had the opportunity to meet beautiful people from other countries. I understood that I have a big advantage among other Erasmus students. I can understand and speak many languages: with my colleagues from Romania we spoke the Romanian language, with colleagues from the post-soviet countrieswe speak the Russian language, with Turkish colleagues I speak the Turkish language. And in the international circle, we all speak in the English language. This is such an amazing experience.
I’ve spent all 5 months with my roommates from Ukraine and Uzbekistan. We’ve discovered the most interesting café’s in Lublin and tasted delicious traditional food.
Before the lockdown was introduced I managed to visit Warsaw for 1 day. That trip was organized by the Lublin ESN. One more important place that I’ve visited was Majdanek- the Nazi German concentrationcamp, it represents a horrific part of history that we shouldn’t forget and never repeat.
I’m grateful for this opportunity in my life, for the one more interesting international experience.
