Module courses and number of hours:
1) The foreign policy action of the European Union — 60 hours direct contact = 30 hours course + 30 hours seminar
2) Economic diplomacy of the European Union — 60 hours direct contact = 30 hours course + 30 hours seminar
Relevance of the project: The courses of the module will stimulate the deepening and dissemination of knowledge about European economic diplomacy and the European Union as an international actor and non-military power pole.
Project objectives:
1) to form knowledge on the mechanisms for achieving the economic diplomacy of the European Union, in order to diversify the career prospects of students and master students;
2) to use the interdisciplinary and integrated approach of the subjects of the economic diplomacy of the European Union — as a new direction in the European studies;
3) to study the foreign policy action of the European Union, in order to generate knowledge about the decision-making process within the EU and the role of the EU in the international arena;
4) to promote the dialogue between the academic environment and the politicians / political decision makers / professional groups / civil society of the Republic of Moldova on the issues of political and economic cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with the member states of the European Union;
5) to disseminate information about the European Union as a center of economic and political influence in the world, by organizing round tables, application of modern information technologies, publication of scientific articles in accredited journals in the Republic of Moldova and abroad;
6) to attract graduates of pre-university education institutions from the Republic of Moldova to study and disseminate information about the role and place of the EU in the international arena;
7) to introduce the courses of the module in the curricula of the vocational training program in the specialties, the graduates of which will contribute to the development and consolidation of the cooperation relations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova;
8) to increase the number of students and master students with knowledge about the European Union and European integration;
9) to diversify the topics and approaches for the studies of the European Union;
10) to identify new methods of teaching, learning and researching European economic diplomacy and the European Union’s foreign policy action,
11) to edit 2 course materials: «Economic Diplomacy of the European Union» and «Foreign Policy Action of the European Union»;
12) to strengthen students’ knowledge about European integration and to increase the understanding of the integration process of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union;
13) to monitor the implementation process of the Association Agreement / DSFTA of the European Union with the Republic of Moldova.
