Relevance of the project: The project aims to contribute to the formation of more coherent and visible EU policies towards Moldova, by improving the understanding of political cooperation and human rights protection, youth education and deepening economic and trade partnership both academically and abroad.
Project objectives:
- Encourage cooperation and involvement of the general public, especially academia and young people in the North, South and Central regions of the Republic of Moldova in social policy debates on human rights, the rule of law, good governance and democratization in order to promote security and stability in Moldova;
- Increasing the knowledge of the target groups on the progress made by Moldova in the EU-MD Association Agreement and the new EU trends in the field of education and research;
- Increasing the level of familiarization of the general public in Moldova, in general, of academia and young people, in particular, on the issues of EU trade policy towards Moldova;
- Improving the understanding of the EU of real development issues and trends beyond the stakeholders directly and indirectly involved;
- To support the professional development of young researchers and teachers trained to integrate good practice and new topics in the EU into the teaching programs and initiatives operating in the USM and not only through ERASMUS + Jean Monnet;
- To improve the involvement, awareness and informing of the general public about the possibilities offered by EU financial instruments (eg ERASMUS +, HORIZON2020 / Horizon Europe, etc.).
Activities:
- Training activities: trainings for young people on “EU project management”
- Editing the brochure “EU without borders”;
- Development of the guide “Guide to EU funding”
- Research activities on “New opportunities for integration offered by EU common values for young people”;
Events:
- Three seminars “Jean Monnet’s best practices in the context of European studies and EU promotion”;
- Two workshops “Raising awareness on the Europeanization of Moldova in academia and beyond”;
- international conference “The European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries: moving closer to a better future”;
